 [ LISTEN ] A Message from the President
The founder of Active by Nature is
Linda LeBlanc, formerly the coordinator of the North Quabbin Guide Training Program, which prepares
students with the necessary skills to be successful guides. LeBlanc is also the founder and former
president of Horizon's Dawn N Dusk, Inc., a recreation-based after-school program for children in
grades K through 6.
Combining an entrepreneurial spirit with a love of physical activity and the outdoors, LeBlanc is
thrilled to bring her experience and interests to this company. A 13-year veteran PSIA certified
ski instructor, LeBlanc has enjoyed more than 35 years of skiing, in Utah, Colorado, Switzerland,
and all over New England, as well as extreme skiing at Tuckerman Ravine, on Mt. Washington in New
Hampshire. An avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Linda has hiked throughout New England, including
Mt. Monadnock, Mt. Ascutney, Mt. Greylock, Mt. Washington, Mt. Madison, Mt. Lafayette. She has most
recently completed a hiking trip in the Great Smoky Mountains along the Appalachian Trail. A
graduate of the North Quabbin Guide Training Program, Linda is trained in first aid and CPR and is
certified as a wilderness first responder.
