Come see and hear about the historic town of Dana and the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir. Ride to the very edge of the Quabbin Reservoir along long abandoned roads and hear the ghosts of Quabbin speak. Keep an eye out for wildlife as well as various native wild flowers and plants. The midpoint of this ride will find you riding to the waters edge where you will observe the roadbed descending into the depths of the Quabbin. This provides a perfect spot to break for lunch and a chance to do some shoreline exploration. This ride is suitable for all levels. Bring the whole family!
  • Leisurely ride to the forgotten historic Dana common
  • Ride to "Grave's Landing" via "Deadman's Curve" for a view of the "Accidental Wilderness"
  • Short hike to Indian kitchen & former plane crash site
  • Return to start point with rest stops at historical features
